Greetings

The Academic Senate is the official representative legislative body of the University and speaks on behalf of the University community on matters within its purview. The purpose of the Senate is to recommend policy on curriculum, academic standards, criteria and standards for the selection, retention and tenure of faculty members and other matters that affect faculty and students.

Information for Academic Senate, 2024–2025

Please pardon our dust as we continue to update and improve our website for the 2024-2025 Academic Year.

The blue menu box at right includes links to the schedule of Senate meetings (with materials [NOTE: Please use this interim link!]), to Senate policies and resolutions, to rosters of current senators and committee members, to current service opportunities, and to the governing documents of the Academic Senate.

Senate materials are distributed via listservs — senate-announce-l [at] lists.csuci.edu for non-senators interested in following Academic Senate and senate-senators-l [at] lists.csuci.edu for elected senators and ex officio members of the academic senate.  Additional listservs used for communication and elections are senate-faculty-l [at] lists.csuci.edu and senate-lecturers-l [at] lists.csuci.edu.

To be added to the senate-announce-l, consult these instructions (scroll to bottom of page). If you are concerned that you are not receiving messages from other listservs, please contact senate@csuci.edu with your request to be added.
